Creating a lasting memorial to a loved one is an age-old tradition and one that we continue with our local craftsmen.
We are able to design, create and supply memorials for any cemetery or churchyard in the UK.
Whether you wish to have a bespoke memorial designed by our stonemason, or would prefer a simple tablet to mark some cremated remains, we can advise and guide you on what is possible.
We have a working knowledge of all local cemeteries and churchyards and this is important as there are many rules and regulations governing what is permitted. Once you place an order, we will deal with all the paperwork and applications so as to make the process as smooth as possible for you.
A traditional headstone to mark a grave can be made from both natural stone (such as Portland stone or Marble) or from hard-wearing Granite. You can purchase headstones from many online suppliers, but beware; cemeteries have strict regulations governing what is permitted, including rules on material, dimension and wording, so local knowledge is key.
Trust Howard Goodman to provide advice and the highest quality memorials in Weston-super-Mare and the North Somerset, Bristol and Bath areas.
Kerbs surround the perimeter of the grave and make for easy maintainence. Kerbs may include a chipping infill or be left to allow space for plants or keepsakes. Kerbs are not permitted in all cemeteries, so please speak to us before ordering your memorial from another supplier!
Tablets & Cremation Memorials
A stone or granite tablet can be used to mark a grave or a cremated remains plot. There are many sizes and styles to choose from and tables are suitable for both full burial graves and cremated remains plots in cemeteries and churchyards. Lettering can be added, as can metal flower containers and decorative carvings.
These can be added to headstones or tablets, if there is space. We can arrange for the inscriber to take the stone away, add the extra text and install it back in the original location, freshly cleaned polished.
